Fall 2007 Symphonic Wind Ensemble
Audition Information
Hello Everyone!
We are looking forward to another great year of the OSU Band program. This year is very exciting as the Symphonic Wind Ensemble will be performing at the historic Carnegie Hall on Memorial Day Weekend in the spring. Here is some pertinent information:
Audition materials are below.
Make sure you sign up for an audition time in Benton Hall’s MRC on the 1st floor.
This year, the band program will be having placement auditions. This means that we will hear many people and place them in the most appropriate wind ensemble. This is a change from past years.
Along with the audition music, there will be sight reading and a major scale of the panel’s choice.
The audition will be blind, meaning that the adjudicators will not be able to see you and you will not be able to speak to the panel while in the room.
We’re all looking forward to hearing you perform! Have a great remainder of your summer.
Best,
Prof. Chapman
