Dear OSU Marching Band Member,

Hello!

We hope you are having a great summer. We are looking forward to bigger and better things next fall and we are glad that you will be with us. Please read this very carefully; we are asking for some very specific information and it is important that you get it to us right away to help our planning.

If any of your contact information changes over the course of the summer, please inform us immediately. If at any point you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at osubands@orst.edu or call (541) 737-0544.

Get Registered.
It is important that you get registered as soon as possible if you have not done so already. Register for Music 153 CRN 11064, or Music 353 CRN 11066 (at LBCC MP 103 CRN 20380 or MP 203 CRN 20382). If you have any exam conflicts please contact us so that we can do an override for you. Remember that you can register for one or two credits. If you have troubles getting registered, please contact us for assistance.

If you have any direct class conflicts, let us know as soon as possible as well. We can work with required major courses—but not with electives.

Music on the Web.
The music for the pregame show is up on the band website (Click Music Parts in the OSUMB Students section of our website) for you to download, practice, and start to MEMORIZE over the summer. Percussion parts are coming soon. The username is "osumb" and the password is "gobeavs".

If you need any helping deciding what part to download, email us and we will help you out.

Band Camp.
Band camp will begin on Sunday, September 16 for the full band (Monday, September 10 for Color Guard and Drumline, Friday, September 14 for Section Leaders, and Saturday September 15 for Squad Leaders). Click here to see a tentative Band Camp Schedule.

We will make arrangements for you to move into your dorms—you do not need to contact University Housing.

Remember that camp is mandatory. We can work around some Connect Week and ROTC events.

Fall Rehearsal Schedule.
Fall term the band will rehearse Monday and Wednesday 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in Truax Indoor Center, and Friday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Reser Stadium.

Later this summer you will receive the final schedule and we will supply you with the rest of the kick-off times as soon as we get them.

Football Tickets.
Once again, OSU Athletics will allow you to buy group rate tickets for family and friends. This will be done online and they will send you the tickets. As soon as that webpage is set up we will let you know.

Please complete the form at the bottom of this web page as soon as possible. It is important that you be prompt in your reply and thorough in your answers. If you do not respond promptly, we cannot guarantee your spot.

That is all the information we have for now. We are eager to get started! Please let us know of your intentions right away so that we can continue to reserve your spot in the band next fall.
